In a rapidly changing world, it is fundamental to empower adolescent females from less advantageous families. The I AM HERe Scholarship is a signature initiative designed to provide financial support, mentorship, and encouragement.
Inspired by the Sankofa symbol, we believe in the importance of looking to the past to build a stronger future. Recipients become members of the SANKOFA CLUB, ensuring a legacy of continuity and support.

Sankofa Club

We believe in holistic growth. Recipients are paired with mentors in their field and participate in skill-building workshops and career planning sessions. In the spirit of Sankofa, you will also give back by tutoring junior students.

Qualification Criteria

Academic Excellence

Six A1s Total Required

Specifically: 3 A1s in Core Subjects

Specifically: 3 A1s in Elective Subjects

Must maintain grades for renewal

Student Profile

Female student at Keta Senior High Technical School

From a low-income family background

Current Form 1 or Form 2 Student

Disciplined with regular attendance

Commitment

Serve as academic tutor to juniors

Engage in community/voluntary service

Join Sankofa Club (minimum 3 years)

Participate in mentorship workshops

Monitoring & Reporting

To ensure excellence is sustained, recipients are subject to Interim Reviews and Annual Evaluations. Scholars must maintain a minimum of six A1s in core and elective subjects to retain the scholarship. We provide timely assistance to support academic performance.

Our selection process is independent, transparent, and merit-based.

School liaison officer verifies your details and academic standing.

Independent committee reviews applications and selects 6 recipients.
